Beginning in November, the Prince Charles Pipe Band has begun to organize a Grade II band that will include past members of the former Grade I band and more advanced players from the Grade III band. While some of the members will be leaving the Grade III band, the Grade III will continue as a competition band in the upcoming season.
The focus of the Grade II will be to continue the mission of the organization as a whole - to promote the instruction and development of young pipers and drummers in the Bay Area and California. The band will begin building its repertoire and will hopefully begin competing within the next year.
As part of this transformation, the Prince Charles Pipe Band will be restructuring its leadership under the direction of Pipe Major Ken Sutherland. Furthermore, the band will be modernizing its website to facilitate better navigation and reflect a more contemporary look.

Piper Jonas Featured on Bay Area Wedding Coordinators

Today Liz Guthrie, founder of San Jose Wedding Consultants, published a blog featuring my site, Piper Jonas. As part of an ongoing project to construct a Wedding Planning Directory, Liz has begun assembling a blog for each letter of the alphabet. Each blog features a unique wedding idea or vendor with the ultimate goal of creating an all-inclusive resource for wedding planning. The blog is called Bay Area Wedding Coordinators.
Liz has been an Event Planner for over 17 years both professionally and in the non-profit sector. She is a Certified Consultant with the Association of Bridal Consultants and has a great deal of experience in hotel, travel, and catering management.
